Throughout the course of my career, I have been a designer. That includes websites, curriculum, apps, logos, and general concepts of design and iteration. Although I have spent so much time on design, this page only holds a brief portfolio of my work.
When I start a design project, I tend to be very old-school: designing by hand. I really do get out a sheet of paper and start drawing. One of the best examples of this is a simulation I designed for a science group at the University of Colorado (well actually for an application to join their group). After about an hour of iterating on paper, and getting my thoughts together, I fired up the iPad and loaded POP (the Prototyping on Paper App). POP is great and allows me to enter images into their application which I can then hyperlink as wireframes. The result is a very crude exploration of the functionality of the app:
